My teenage daughter and I were having an argument about rules in the my house. It became really heated and I smacked her in the mouth. She picked up the phone and dialed 911 but hung up. They called back and I told them what happened. The asked to speak with her but she refused to talk. They said they are going to send an officer. The officer arrived, questioned my both parents and the daugher, handcuffed and arrested the mother for assault and battery. I have never been arrested before and was asked if I wanted a lawyer. I said I will represent myself. Is this stupid? What should I expect?
