What is the name of your state?
tx
My husband and I got into an argument tonight and I called 911 after he pushed me, (he has never done anything like this before). I had four beers prior to the incident so I may have been quick to call. After a couple minutes I realized this was a stupid thing to do as my husband has never been violent and I totally feel safe. I called back 911 and asked that they not send someone as I am safe and that I made the call in rash judgement. The cop came byanyway, (as we live in Bexar county and they are required to do so on doemestic abuse calls), and issued us both tickets to appear in court under assult with contact, we signed the ticket but the tickets state that our signature does not indicate a plead of guilty. This was all just a stupid, rash thing.... what should we do to minimize reprecussions for something that should have not happend in the first place?

Most people who push someone for the first time have never done it before. It has to start somewhere.

I cannot think of a single agency where they would cancel on a domestic disturbance call. I can cite the host of reasons if you'd like, but suffice it to say they WILL generally keep coming no matter what you have to say.

Both of you should get seperate attorneys. If you cannot afford one, ask for a public defender at your arraignment (likely the court date on the citation).

Uou're lucky ... in many states one or both of you could go to jail for that event.
