[/B] Hello, I am not quit sure if I am at the right place but maybe you can help me. I am a 24 year old women who is disabled and on disability. In 1999 I loaned a friend two thousand dollars. I had him sign a paper on Nov 25th 1999 that he typed himself stating that he borrowed the money. At the time I lived in Nevada . I have this paper.

A year had passed and I became so ill that I moved to washington to be withmy family where I am residing now . I contacted him numerous times about the money and even sent him a certified document on June 12th 2000 stating he would make payments. He agreed to this but my letters came back unclaimed.

Now his phone is disconnected. I hear that he is living in California now but dont know where. I have numbers of his family who have been very mean and unhelpful. Is there anyway you can help me or lead me in the right direction?? I thank you in advance.

You might want to talk with a consumer credit counseling company who can basically help you locate this debtor. If not, you might think about chalking it up to a learning experience and going from there because it may cost you more locating him than what you would collect.

Thank you for your response :) Honestly if it takes me all the money that he owes me to get him to pay I will do it. I dont want him to get away with it. How would I go about finding a consumer credit counsling company? I trully thank you for your help :)
