Hi, I put an atm machine in my store, signed a contract to pay $285.14 a month to the leasing co. Then credit card services gave me a signed contract stating that they would reimburse me $200.00 a month plus $55.00 a month for advertisement. Now I've paid my fee every month since Aug. 2000 and they have only sent me one half payment and one full payment. They owe me for Oct. Nov. Dec. & Jan. They keep giving me the run around sayiny their going to send me a payment every two weeks Starting 2/28/01 and I haven't received one yet. So last week I called them and told them they have till friday 3/23/01 to send me $1020.00 in one lump sum or I'm going to press charges against them. Can you give me some advice on what to do. We just got started in our business last Aug. and I can't afford big Attorney fees.
Thank You

Well, luckily you are not owed that much. I suggest you also collect the interest on that money owed. IF you cannot afford attorney fees, please take them to small claims court. But remember, winning is just one part of the battle.. Then you have to collect. You might be better off chalking this up to a business expense (lost revenue) and get a tax deduction.
