I promised my 12 year old we'd stay long enough to watch the last Monk, so I'll be here till 10. Hope to hear an update before that or I'll be wondering alllllll night!
Oh sweetheart...I'm so sorry. Its not good news this time. 8hour unsupervised visitation is beginning for Dad, starting tomorrow. DHS appeared today and stated that I had not provided enough proof that Dad failed to administer Son's breathing treatments and Nystatin cream as per the doctors orders. I still had the unopened packet of treatment as well as the unopened tube of nystatin. I also had the sheet that I've been filling out where Dad openly admitted to only giving son 1 of the required 3 treatments (even though that was a lie- he gave ZERO.) I'm not sure what other proof I could have taken with me. I had the doctors report from when I took him the Monday following. I just don't know anymore. I feel like I'm failing to protect the Kiddo and its hard for me to deal with. DAD did not even show to court. His lawyer was there..
Pick up and drop off are now ordered at the police station in MY town. The visits will now be from 10a-6p, with the judge encouraging me to offer extra visits throughout the next few weeks to MAKE UP for what Dad missed.
What could I have done differently? I know I probably SHOULD have had Son's doctor there to testify. I just thought with the way judge talked last week that Son had a better chance for at least supervised visits. I'm dreading tomorrow. I'm so worried. Its been a high of 40 degrees here this week. And kiddo is still doing 2hr treatments. I just can't believe all of this.

Social groups were deleted, yes....I was going to suggest that Dawn create a social group so the updates would be easy to find and not subject to deletion or being locked, but I can't find the link to them. Were they removed?
I would go one step further.Deep breath darlin.
Go to the station early. Explain the restraining order issue, and why pick ups are scheduled to take place there. Ask that they "inventory" the diaper bag (or whatever the medication is in) prior to Dad picking up kiddo AND upon drop off.
Take kiddo STRAIGHT to an urgent care clinic after drop off for an evaluation.
Kiddo can articulate WHO is around him, yes? Remember that Step Mother AND Grandfather both have ROs that INCLUDE KIDDO. Ask him point blank if he saw X or Y while he was with Daddy. If he says yes, file a police report in Dad's town IMMEDIATELY, and also contact the prosecutor on Monday morning.
Remember, Dad will have all kinds of chances to prove he's a crap-ass parent. Unless he's legally UNFIT (and that's a HUGE burden), he's not going to have visits removed for any meaningful period.
Photos of the items with the officer holding them might also be good....I would go one step further.
Have the officer at the desk initial the medication bags you are giving to dad and initial a paper with the serial numbers of the bags.
Know that the officer has no compulsion to do this. This is why you are going to have to get there early and, honestly, beg if you need to. Not to be sexist, but I would go so far as to look for a female officer ... or Carl!
