Hi, I'm in CA

I'm about to switch attorneys. Actually I'm technically in pro per right now so I just need to hire a new attorney. Is it okay to just write my old attorney a letter or should I tell him in person? Thanks for your help.

In my opinion, it depends on what kind of relationship you two had. I mean, were you like close friends, did he help you out a lot, has he been your attorney for a while? If so, I suggest an in-person visit would be in order. But if that makes you uncomfortable, a letter should suffice.
