What is the name of your state? Michigan

A law firm is attempting to sue me for capitol one. Yesterday I get a letter to offer a settlement and SOMEONE ELSE'S NAME IS LISTED where it says RE capitol one bank vs. (some person I don't know)

It is addressed to me, but the case number and file number are wrong, as well as the amount owed. Then it says to discuss the alternative with my client.

Did this attorney just disclose someone's personal information to me, a nonparty to this poor woman's account? Is it possible my personal information was disclosed to someone else?

What should I do?

My response:

You should have someone hold you by the hand and walk you through life. Obviously, you're not able to think on your own, and you keep coming here with stupid questions like that one. I can only imagine how you deal with "real" problems.

Take a Prozac.

It is more her problem than it is yours.

Since you have the information of the person - why not give her a phone call and let her decide what to do?
After all, if there is injury, it is not really yours, it is hers.
Use some common sense and avoid being use for a clay pidgeon by wannabe sharpshooters like IAAL.

I am sorry, I don't understand, Could you please clarify your statement? Please make sure you use small words as I have a limited vocabulary. I am concerned my privacy has been breeched and would like to know what to do about it, I am sorry if you feel the need to scold me for my lack of understanding regarding the very complex issues of law in which I am uneducated. Perhaps you should rename your site to more appropriately fit the actual advice given upon most matters, which is nothing. Here are some suggestions:

hirealocalattorney.com
wearesmarterthanyou.com
idon'tunderstandthelaweither.com
yougetwhatyoupayfor.com
wearejusttryingtoselladspace.com
wedon'tgiveacrapaboutyourproblems.com
clickonourbannersandpopups.com

Do not fret, your harsh words will not prevent me from posting any more questions that you may feel are idiotic, although I am sure I will tremble in the shadow of your superior intelligence and knowlege.

My response:

Did you ever think of calling the attorney's office to tell them that a simple, human error has occurred, or how about mailing it back to them with a notation concerning the error - - or do you need one of us to hold your hand to do that too?

Take a Prozac, you worrywart nincompoop.
