What is the name of your state? New Jersey

My husband died; there was a will, which I probated. I am administrator. The problem is my daughter, who shares probate assets (consisting of one brokerage account) 50/50 with me after a bequest of $100,000 to another daughter's trust.

The 50/50 daughter has hired a lawyer to "review my administration" (basically, she hates me) and this lawyer is demanding copies of all bills, cancelled checks, receipts, etc. I have sent my daughter formal notification that she is a beneficiary and also a copy of the will.

The only debts are medical; these change almost daily as they are processed through Medicare and supplemental insurance. Providing copies of everything is going to be a major nuisance. Do I have to provide this on an ongoing basis or can I simply file an accounting at the time of
distribution?

Thanks so much for any and all advice.

File an accounting at the time of distribution and for now, send the attorney a letter now, stating that you will be filing an accounting at the time of distribution, which he already should know, but it's much more "fun" to harrass you about it.
