I live in Dallas Texas. I have a negative item on my credit report as an authorized user. It is a Chase credit card that was issued to my mother in 1990 and it has not been paid on since 1995. I did not cosign or request this card. My mother apparently put me as an authorized user when she obtained it. My credit report says authorized user only. It does not state responsible party or co-signer. How can i have this removed from my report? I never received a bill or statements from Chase, but yet they now have the authority to stop me from obtaining a much needed job because of the negative item. The credit reporting agency, Experian, is submitting a letter to Chase to request the remove me as authorized user and remove this from my credit file. If this falls through, what is my next action of recourse?
