I wrecked my car while driving on company time to one of our offices, it was pouring rain and my car hydroplaned and hit the center cement wall I had driven about 60 miles so far (i was halfway to the other office), no one else was involved in the accident. A highway patrol pulled up right away and pushed me off the road with his patrol car and made sure I was ok and left. He didn't even ask for proof of insurace or license and he didn't write up an accident report. A tow truck towed my car back and I had to rent a car. My insurance comp. said they don't cover towing or rental on my policy. I was told by my employer about 1 1/2 years ago that I had to have 100/300/100 insurance on my car because I would be using it on company time ( i had just been promoted to supervisor) she didn't tell me why I had to have it or anything, I just did it. Well now I find out from my ins. co. that they don't cover towing or rental cars on my policy, so I called my employer and they told me that they wouldn't pay for my rental or towing because that's what my insurance is for. Help! Does this mean i'm just out of luck? I don't think it's right for my comp. to do me that way!
