I was recently in an auto accident. I was informed that they were supposed to give me a rental car. They gave me a rental for a week, and told me that was long enough. The adjuster says that my car is driveable. The trunk lid is popped up, and will not stay down. Also, my rear brake lights are broke, which makes it a violation to drive on the highway. The trunk can be tied down, but it is warped and water can get inside, to cause more damage. I tried to explain this to the adjuster, but he just keeps saying it is driveable. Are they required to give me a rental car, and how do I prove that my car is undriveable?????

generally you get a rental until your car is repaired, apparently they feel that the week was enough time to get the car repaired, if you failed to do it while you had the rental, you may be out of luck now.
