My wife was in an accident. The Driver of the other vehicle was ticketed. He hit the rear of our auto and did major damage, possibly even totaled. Now my problem is---- I have been diagnosed with COPD and have an appointment with SS this Friday to apply for SS disability. I have insurance on my auto to cover the payments in case I was to become disabled. Thereby, I would not have any worries about having to pay for an automobile. Now this accident. I am told all the insurance will pay is the book value of my auto and I will be left holding the bag because the book value will not pay much more than what is owed and I will have to buy another car. I will not have enough to pay a decent down payment. If this accident had not occured I would not have to pay the payments because of my disability. It seems as if the idiot that ran into my wife should be responsible and have to pay the wreck off and also replace my auto also because now I cannot auto disability to pay my pmt's since I am already now disabled. Does my post make sense? my email address is [email protected] if you can give me any help with the answer.
