I applied online for an auto loan. I filled out a genetic application. The application asked was I employed, i said yes. It also asked how long, I said 4 years. The people from the auto loan place called me and they verfied all my information, but they didn't ask me how long I was employed at my present job. The auto dealer also called and verified my information with my job. I was approved for the car loan. I signed all the papers and I took the vehicle home. I purchased this vehicle on Feb. 8, 2000. Now the auto company said that I have to give the vehicle back because they did not tell the loan company the correct employed time at my present job. What should I do? My payment for the vehicle is due Mar 9.

So, did you fill out the correct length of employment in the online ap? If so, then if the auto dealer told the loan people the wrong information--as long as you did not give them any wrong informtion--then I think the dispute is between them. Is there a reason to believe you might default on this loan? If not, assure the loan company of your ability to handle the loan. Hopefully, you have a copy of the online application to show them. Remember to always make a copy of any application you fill out. It is your only proof.
