What is the name of your state? California
I don't drive but want to buy a car for someone. How do I go about insuring the car if I don't have a driver's license? The car will be used by someone who has a license. Help! (And can I add that person's name to the registration??)

Your best bet would be to contact your local Department Of Motor Vehicle and ask them, and also ask a local auto insurance agent or broker. They can give you a detailed answer to your questions.
