13 months ago I entered into a lease with Land Rover North America. The date of purchase I was promised the following:
1. Floor Mats
2. Any CD changer would work with the car and it would be able to be controlled with the dashboard controls.
3. A 2 day, off-road driving coarse.
4. 2 years free maintenance.

On the date of purchase they were out of floor mats and we were promised they would be delivered in one week. 3 weeks passed and we went into the dealership to inquire. We were given the floor mats, which were in stock. When we went to a nation wide car stereo dealer we were told that the CD changer designed to fit into the vehicle was a Pioneer 10 disk, $250 CD changer. However, the attachment on the car would not fit the normal Pioneer CD changer. We asked the dealer's service center and they told us the CD changer had to be a Land Rover CD changer and it was $800. This is the same Pioneer CD changer we saw in the store for $250 with a different adapter.
The date for the off road driving school had come and gone so we once again inquired at the dealership. They told us that class had been cancelled but, another one was coming up and we would be notified. It's been 13 months since the date of purchase and we haven't been notified about any driving school and they now claim to not offer it.
To date we have had two regularly scheduled maintenances and we have had to pay for both. The dealership claims this is Land Rover of North America's responsibility but, LR of NA claims the dealership is responsible for maintenance deals.
To date we have been treated terribly by the dealership who sold us the lease. We feel they haven't lived up to what they promised and their service has not been what they led us to expect. How can we get out of this lease at no cost?

My response:

And, of course, each and every one of these points is written into the vehicle lease contract that you signed, correct?

My husband and I were in that similar situation a year ago - m end result is not really a happy one - tried as we did to get out of the lease we couldn't without losing some bit of money - is yours a short term lease? We went to the dealer to try to trade back the car and was told we can return the car but we would still owe the lease for the number of years we leased it for and have no car or we trade it in for what it is valued at and any difference will be tacked on to the new lease or purchse not to mention "the miles" clause you are limited too - we went over the "miles clause" and it cost 25cents per mile over, we were stuck worse we were ignorant of leases and signed up a 7 years lease today our credit union has refinance our van for us so that we are no longer on a lease but an outright purchase but since we owed more than what the van is at value now we had to pay an additional clause fee for when the car gets totalled in any accident the balance of the loan is paid off after whatever the insurance pays. your best bet is to trade it in for an outright purchase instead of a lease i guess (if your no loner like the car) from our experience and lose little bit of money now than worse later beside how much is your biy out too after the lease is up? a big chunk i bet. if you still want the same car then see if you can refi and make it an outright purchase - by the way you better keep pestering these people for all original agreements and are they on paper? because when warranties run out you are on your own for all repairs and expense - that is what happened to us too - one thing after another keep breaking down from the van first it was the rear view mirror then the one door lock after another -the compartment door the trunk door and the CD case door the glove compartment door it was hell we had to be inconvienced with work schedules to keep bringing the van back to the dealer - the minute the day over 1 year of warranty they made us pay for all the repairs - we were told it wasn't considered a lemon if not the same thing breaks down continously - i don't know this for sure for a fact - wish we had help then. good luck
