What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? AR CO

I was divorced in 1998 in the state of Arkansas. Part of the divorce settlement was that my ex husband be responsible for the truck that he drove that had both of our names on the account. The truck got reposessed and now Ford Motor Credit is on my back. A judgement in court against me and my ex occurred in 2002 after I moved to Colorado. Today I get a letter from a lawyer in Colorado stating that he is filing the papers for a foreign judgement on me. He also sent the same letter to my address for my ex husband. My ex does not live in Colorado. He is still in the same state and county of the original judgement. What should be my next step?

You can pay the outstanding balance and then sue your ex, and/or
you can file a motion to show cause on your ex for his failure to comply with the court order (that he was liable).
