What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TEXAS

First, when looking up a "Blue Book" value via kbb.com, I know I am not crazy here, but; a Private Party value would be considered a sale between two people, not a dealer AND a Suggested Retail Value would be the value a car dealership would use (Sticker Price)???

Second, so if the advertiser on craigslist is a private party seller using a Suggested Retail Value amount (because the guy isnt a car delarship), is it appropriate to call him out on this before negotiating any price???

Its about a good $1100 difference.

Might I be missing something here???

I have no idea what you are getting at. Do you have a legal question?

People selling cars can list them for whatever price. If you want to negotiate a different price do so.
