What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio

Need pro or con comments on using an Elder Law Attorney in Ohio that uses "Medicaid Compliant Annuities" to shelter some of the assets from Medicaid spend down requirements. Does this method really work? He claims it's all legal, acceptable and above board but you need his expert help to get the procedure done exactly right to save 30% to 50% of your assets. He does the planning and leg work for a fixed fee. I'm skepticle about it.
