I'm not AWOL just curious. What would happen if say an AWOL soldier was arrested by civilian authorities on a drug charge or pick your charge. Would the military charge him w/ drugs also?

I would wager in just about 99% of cases the civves would discover the warrant and transfer jurisdiction and evidence to the military for FULL indictment of both or all charges. It could be a combo, depending on how trustful the DA was of successful application by the military, but any DA should know the conviction rate in the military far exceeds anything he or she might come close to....just a tactical side note. You see it a lot in cases of DUIs.
