What is the name of your state? Missiouri. I am being sued by my father for accepting Power Of Attorney. I can not fina a lawyer to work with me on money and our state service denied me. I asume because it would be to hard of a case for any of them to handle. Its very difficult but its a lie my father is a con of all cons and I never thought he would do this to his own daughter but what was I thinking when I had Power Of Attorney because he was in jail for stealing his brothers (with Altimheizers Diesease) Money. Cds, Stocks ,Car... $160,000 from one way or another. Please help. I have had 2 Continues and am coming up on 3rd court date. Don't know where to turn. Being sued for $16.000. Please I need imediate help. So much info that Would be easy if talking or knowing that I will actually get response. Thanks in advance.

Your posting is confusing because you ramble on and on.

(1) Who gave you power of attorney and when was it given and for what reason was it given? Were you acting on behalf of your father or for your mother or for someone else?

(2) How much money did you receive while you had power of attorney and how did you spend it? Hopefully you spent the money on his care and not on yourself.

(3) How did father come up with the figure of $16,000 that he is asking for from you?

(4) Do you have the actual power of attorney document with his (or whoever's) signature on it?

The only sense I can make of this rambling nonsense is that OP's father stole $160,000.00 from his brother that has Alz. OP has POA for father. Father is sueing OP for missing money (that he stole from brother??) using the POA that OP has for father.
