What is the name of your state? ct

dear atty. lana,

i posted my case about four months ago and you have been quite helpful with your sound advise. i would further like to ask you again on your thoughts on my case.

i have been granted another extension for my stay here in the us (2nd, in 2 successions, expiring june 2005) under a b1/b2. because things have relatively become less hectic with my sister whom i am helping, i am now thinking of enrolling for a second degree in nursing. among others, i am concerned if i will be approved for a change in status (f1?) given my rather unusual status. studying was not part of my plans but the demand for nurses is simply too attractive to bypass.

i hope to hear from you again. thank you.

Changes of status to F-1 are highly scrutinized and you are unlikely to get that granted within the US, without going abroad to obtain a visa. You can certainly apply for this, but I would not think it will be granted.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I may be of further assistance to you in this matter.
