Every year, we get our reviews, in which we receive up to 9% raise. Recently, there is a change in management, so there has been a lot of changes. Our annual reviews are supposed to be done on our anniversary of our hired dates, but because of the change in management, the reviews have been postponed. In my case, my anniversary was back in August, but until today I still have not gotten the review yet. Some of my coworkers were supposed to have theirs in May, so as you can imagine, they are a lot more upset than I'm. We all have been vocal about this, but the management has not done anything about it.

I was told that legally, they are supposed to back date our paycheck. This has never happened at our company before, so noone has any information on this. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thank you very much for any help you can give me.

Unless you're part of a union or have an individual employment contract that addresses your issues, the company is under no legal obligation to have reviews or give raises at all. It's between you and the company, not a legal matter.

9%????? Sheesh. A union would NEVER get you that much, because they would be giving it up for other benefits. I'm a member, not of a union, but a bargaining unit for professional employees for a large municipality. I got 1% last year and I'm getting 1% January 1. Oh, goody. :p
