Please help!!! I had surgery on my L5-S1 in april, IDET procedure, insurance co. said to. I have pain at my tail bone and about 6 inches higher, the dr. says the pain is radiating up. The surgery didn't help and I want to see a neurologist, but the insurance co denied the appointment. What should I do?

hi i would go to my pcp and ask him for a referal to a neurosurgeon if it is a result of your prior work comp injury they should in the end pay for it.good luck

I agree with john on the course of action, hang in there and don't give up. I have herniated discs L3-4,L4-5,L5-S1 and they would not operate on me for that reason. Not that I am complaining.
