Hello,
A customer of our business wrote us a check that was returned NSF.
The customer had promised to pay but has not and now won't return the phone calls.
My question is this. He is in SC, and we are in FL. Who's laws do we prosecute under- which state?
Also, we have written the demand letter for south carolina and it was sent Certified return reciept. It came back about 45 days later return to sender. I'm trying to find out if the Florida demand letter needs to be sent or if the SC letter will suffice.
And what is the next step towards getting the money? I obviously don't want to have to fight this in a SC court.
thanks for all the info
