Bad checks

Florida...I have a friends that has two bad checks out, one he has paid on but has not complketely paid off and the other he has not paid on at all yet. He wants to know can he be arrested for this? Or will the people gst a judgement against him. Should he contact these people and explain his situation and his intent to pay? Will that stop further action? Thank-you...Pamela

Pamela,

Your friend can be arrested and can be sued. He really needs to make these checks good. I'd suggest contacting the party involved and setup a formal repayment schedule.
