i have a $100.00 bet going on this.. so help please!!!!
i live in missouri
i want to know what the statues of limmitaions are on bad checks
i say 3 years my bud says 7 years like every other crime nowdays.
so, what is the limmations for prossicuteing on bad checks?
and when dose it change from a mistameaner charge to felony? or dose it?..... please some one tell me i gota know... i called a few local lawers but they never returned my calls.....

it used to be a felony if the bad checks were over $500.00 and most all states were the same it may be lowered because so many people knowingly write bad checks. anything under $500.00 used to be a misdemeanor and probation. call your local police they will certainly tell the laws.

most states now have bogus check collections that are usually administered by the county,which you'll be hearing from if you wrote one.the decision to prosecute nowadays seems more to be based more on intent,past history,and whom defrauded.check internet law library for your staes statutes
