What is the name of your state? California
We started a partnership company several months ago! Me, My supposed best friend and his coworker! The plan was we split everything equally. Anyway after awhile and countless fruitless meetings and disputes. They told me that they don't want to be my partner anymore and they want to hire me instead!(because of my so called lack of productivity or whatever they made up) They told me that they can give me some money and I didn't accept! I put alot of work on this. and my supposed best friend backstab me with this business right before getting some serious money coming in. Anyway we don't have alot of money in business so I didnt want to get money but there will be great contracts coming up soon(one huge one in a year or two). They arenot sharp enough to know about laws so they probably think since they told me to buzz off I am gone. What should I do? Do I need to wait for them to get couple contracts and get some money in and then sue them or should I sue them now? Note that there isnt enough money to worth hiring a lawyer if I sue them now! Also I was wondering what are my options for law suits(how much? Punitive damages or compensetory and so on). I want to know what kind of rights I have! Also I don't have the business contract that we wrote between us and they hold that but the bank that we open account has a copy can I get that from the bank?

Thanks for response
Well I put in 400 dollars in business and we got couple small contracts which we probably made like 3000 but we kept the money in business. Note our services don't need huge investment. As soon as I wrote business plan, finish the website, and we start getting meetings with big shots they told me they don't need me. There will be hundreds of thosand dollar contracts soon! What should I do?

Learn your lesson and move on.

You SHOULD have had a partnership agreement, in writing, in the first place so now you are probably SOL. Forget about it.
