Hi,
I live in california and had a roommate for a little over 7 months. I was moving out and told him if he wanted to stay that he could change the lease into his name. He told me he wanted to change the lease so he could stay. So the month i moved out i gave permission for him to change all the utilities and lease into his name. He told me he changed everything....and i asumed he did. About 4 months later i get an eviction notice and find out he didnt even change the utilities or the lease into his name....so i have a rent bill of almost $4,000 and utility bills for almost $700 do i have a chance at this guy if i take hime to court? This guy lied to me and took advantage of the situation.

Let me know what you think,

Really need help
