NY-I AM THE PLAINTIFF IN A PRO SE DISCRIMINATION SUIT. I RECENTLY WENT THROUGH MEDIATION WITH A JUDGE AND AGREED ON A SETTLEMENT THAT I WISH NOW TO RETRACT. I DID NOT SIGN A WRITTEN VERSION OF THE VERBAL AGREEMENT AS OF YET.CAN I STILL ASK TO RENEGOTIATE OR ASK TO GO TO TRIAL?

Each state's laws in regards to Alternative Dispute Resolution procedural matters is different. I only practice in CA. Sorry! However, the best person to contact is the mediator. OK?

Just wondering what happened. I verbally agreed to a settlement before going to trail but did not actually sign it yet. want to know if it is binding at this time.

Generally speaking, unless you and all other parties signed the settlement agreement, it is not binding. Thus, you can go forward with a trial.
