I bought a used car onSunday Oct. 22, on Thurs. Oct 26 it broke down due to a blown head gasket. When I contacted the car dealer he said he would neither make restitution in the form of fixing the vehicle, or at least going half on the $1000 to repair it, or give me a different vehicle of the same value. Do I have any recourse in this matter?

Most used car sales have at least a 30 day warranty with them, read your bill of sale to find out what yours is. Tell the dealer you're going to report him to the Better Business Bureau and are contacting an attorney.
