What is the name of your state? Wi

My daughter who is 14 is now enrolled in the badgercare program thru the state (forward card) i have sole placement her dad ( never married) have every other weekends
Iam physcially disabled due to a car accident years ago

I have been married 6 years and because of her step- father's income ( just recently)
she went from forward card coverage to a new coverage with badgercare
Her father has never had health insurance and barely, if pays child support.

So because of medication she she needs monthly jumped from zero to
134.00 each month. Not to add expenses dental etc.etc
Her step-father says she is also mine, so health is important!
Yet how can a step parent be held responible for her medical cost but legally he has no
rights what so ever??

you are married so income becomes a factor. he is probably also claiming her as a dependent for income tax purpose. they look at the income coming into the house

If your husband has health insurance through his work, he should be able to cover both of you on it.
