What is the name of your state? Virginia

This is an inquiry for a friend I have who is currently in jail awaiting his bond hearing. He didn't go to his weekend community service for ~ a month due to an injury but he was lax in getting a doctor's note so a warrant was issued. He had been seeing his PO and otherwise following his instructions (working a full time job, etc and he is living at home so his family situation is fine). His public defender isn't too optimistic that the judge will set bail because it's for a probation violation and he didn't turn himself in. Other people he has been talking to on the inside seem to think there is no reason for him not to get bail. I don't know if anyone else has had any similiar experiences or know how this generally works? The original offense was utterance if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
