we reside in florida. my son is renting an apartment with a friend. both names are on the lease. his roommate hasn't said so, but my son has heard that roommate is going to "bail" on the lease. son cannot afford rent on his own. lease was just signed for another year. what are my son's rights as far as making his roommate continue to pay his half of the rent? if roommate cuts his losses and opts to sign off on his half of the lease, what recourse does my son have? landlord has said he can move to a cheaper apartment, but it will still be too expensive to carry on his own. Please help! Thank you.
