I offered $5,200 with TTL for a car priced at $6,000. That's all the money I had. The dealer said no way but said that he would take $5,200 plus TTL. He offered to finance the TTL which was a little over $400 for 45 days. Shortly after purchasing the car I had to spend $600 in repairs. When I left the dealer's lot I had a receipt with a balance owed but no terms that included a time limit. In other words the 45 days was a verbal agreement which wasn't in writing. I did get the registration and plates the other day but no title. Obviously he has a lien on the car.
Questions
When do I have to pay the balance?

When can he call a tow truck out to take my car away?
