I am in a band that is named after a cartoon character, Racebannon. We have released 4 full length records as well as several singles. Recently it has come to my attention that another band of the same name is making some waves. What can I do to legally protect our name?

**A: first check to see who had this name first, you or the cartoon character. Then check then Federal listings because the cartoon company I am pretty sure, has a registered tradename for the character. In which case both your band and the other band do not have the rights to use the name.
