Bank Account & Credit Card Linked?????

What is the name of your state? IL
I have filed mt chapter 7 and the question I have is about my bank account and credit card. They are from the same company, Chase Bank One. Will they close my bank account to take the money, or is it 2 totally different companys.
My lawyer said unless my original agreement stated that they would take all funds in my bank account to cover any credit card debt. My lawyer said not to worry about it. but I don't want to deposit money into my bank if there is a chance that it could happen.

I think it would be prudent to open a new account. Better safe than sorry.

Bank deposit agreements contain language regarding a "right of offset" which means the bank can grab money in the account to offset any money you owe to them.

It is possible they would be stayed by the Chapter 7 filing.

But, why take a chance. I would just open an account at a different bank.

You need to be sure the new account is listed on your schedules.
