What is the name of your state?Oregon
My husband and I need to file bankruptcy but have fairly small incomes and he is already being garnished through paychecks. We have just rec'd paperwork for garnishment naming our bank as garnishee. What does this mean. And how will we ever pay for bk?

That paperwork naming your bank as the garnishee means they are going to take whatever money is in your bank account. Your accounts are probably already down to ZERO, better take a look ! The don't notify people BEFORE they sieze bank accounts, people would move the money. So, its a pretty good bet your money is already gone out of your bank account(s).

How will you pay for bankruptcy ?? Talk to a few bankruptcy lawyers, many will take payments for their fees, but they will not actually file your case until their fees are paid in full.
