What is the name of your state? vermont my mom requested bank statements from Nov of 2006 up until June of 2007 of her bank statements when she had a business account under her name. The business was taken over in October of 07. The bank said she had to get permission from the new owner to send her copies of bank statements since it is under new ownership. I don't understand that. If the checking account was in her name while running the business, what right does the bank have to deny her copies of the account when it was in hers?????? What can she do?
