What is the name of your state?ct. hello my question is in a small claims lawsuit i was found liable to pay a medium sum of money. due to family circumstances. (my fathers illness and eventual death) i was unable to pay what was due i sent the plaintiff a smaller sum of money and letter explaining my situation. they ignored it and proceeded to place a levy on my bank accounts using the info on the check i sent them without notifying me. i use that bank account to pay my mortgage. can they legally do this and can i do anything to fight this action?????
