What is the name of your state? Kansas and Texas.
Childsupport was taken out of my check and a company check was sent to my ex-wife through the courts to pay my child support. My ex-wife cashed the check at a local grocery store, due to finacial difficulties with the company the check bounced. Three years later the grocery store is attempting to collect the bad check through my ex-wife. The company filed bankruptcy two and a half years ago and the money can not be collected through the company. Am I or my ex-wife responsible to make the check good? The company was in the state of Kansas and the check was cashed in the state of Texas.
