Bankruptcy after judgment

The court has past judgment that I must pay on a monthly basis to pay off a bad debt. Can I still file bankruptcy?

Yep, assuming it's not a student loan or court ordered child/spousal support.

That's one of the main reasons people DO file bankruptcy, to get away from some adjudicated obligation.
