What is the name of your state? Oregon

After I file and receive Chapter 7 bankruptcy for my personal debt can any new wages or earnings from a new business I am starting be attached for past debts? What about grants for new business start ups....will bankruptcy affect these?

Once your debts are discharged it takes nearly an act of GOD to get those debts reinstated and that usually requires a creditor or someone else tipping off the trustee that there was fraud involved. Unless you hid assets to jump start your business I highly doubt you have anything to worry about. As far as grants go? They can't be touched! Can they be affected? It really depends on the grantor. An entity that gives grants may frown on giving a grant to someone that has declared bankruptcy recently due to the fact that if you couldn't handle finances before how are you going to handle the grant you get responsibly?(I'm not insinuating you are irresponsible, just telling you what THEY might think) :)
