I am considering filing bankrupt on credit card debt. My ex wife of 10 years, made about $10,000 worth of bills 16 years ago. What is the statute of limitations on oweing money and do i have to bring this up when i file bankrupt?

Has it been 16 years since anything was done on it? Has she or anyone been making payments on this debt? If it's that old it's written off now and wouldn't matter unless there is judgment that has been renewed. If it's something like a house or credit card from then and she makes payments on it and your name is on it also, then you need to include it.
