I am also wondering about the tax situation. My husband and I usually file taxes together. For this years taxes 2001 we are thinking of filing seperatly and for me to file head of household and claim the children. Because I am almost positive that they will take his tax money in the bankruptcy. Is that totally legal? They should not be able to take anything of mine this year or next.

Also how much is the amount of items that one can keep when they file bankruptcy chapter 7? Is it 2,000.00 yard sale value or has the amount and the terminology changed?
