i live in louisiana. i was being sued for judgement. i went to a lawyer to file for bankruptcy. the judgement was granted before i filed for the bankruptcy. my question is if I name the creditor in the judgement in my bankruptcy will this stop any garnishments? if my bankruptcy is denied can I appeal the judgement? the creditor has sued me for the wrong amount. when I do file for bankruptcy will this automatically put a stay on the judgement or will my lawyer have to appeal the judgement?

bankruptcy stops ALL action against you including wage garnishment. Unless you don't qualify for a BK due to your income being adequate to cover your debts or fraud is proven there shouldn't be any reason to worry about your BK being denied.
