WE FILED CHAPTER 7 AND IT WAS DISCHARGED ON
DECEMBER 7 1999. AND ONE CREDITOR THAT WAS NAMED IN THE CASE STILL SENDS ME BILLS FOR A DEBT THAT WAS DISCHARGED. I HAVE TOLD THEM OVER THE PHONE AND SENT THEM LETTERS NOTIFING THEM THAT THE DEBT WAS DISCHARGED BUT THEY KEEP SENDING BE BILLS FOR IT. WHAT CAN I DO NOW?

Notify them in writitng that the debt was discharged in bankruptcy and telling them to stop calling you about it. If they continue to do so, you may be able to fiela civil suit against them and collect damages. Talk to an attorney who handles civil matters, preferably collections issues, about filing suit if the calls do not stop.
