illinois; where can I find the law governing bars to pension recovery or grounds for rejection of QDRO's? Upon the husband moving for a default judgment in his pro se divorce case based on willful abandonment of the wife, the wife hired an attorney to get the husband's pension benefits. Just prior to their separation, the husband found out that the wife had collected welfare benefits for 10 years during the marriage and did not so inform the husband, while the husband paid her monthly rent for those 10 years. Though able to work, the wife quit working 1 month after commencement of the marriage and they lived together only 1 of 14 years of marriage. Can the wife be barred from recovery (i.e., can any QDRO she files be rejected) under these circumstances? There are no children or other property.
