I was terminated from my employment as of today's date and my employer still owes me a final paycheck. How long does this company have to pay me this check?

the time varies from state to state, but the usual time period after a person has been fired is 24 to 48 hours after becoming un-employed.of course the rule to this may differ, for an example if a person works for a rather large company, one of which gets their checks from another office, depends on how far away the home office is,they may have a longer period.but for most jobs the general rule is,to pay a person what they are owed after releiving them of their services.i am not an attorney, please consult with one in your area,good-luck,friends.
