What is the name of your state? FLorida

I recently purchased a World of Warcraft game account for my little cousins birthday and stupidly payed through paypal. Well the seller gave me fake information and paypal refused to refund my money even though I opened up a dispute because of their new virtual item rules, even though I have evidence that the seller is a known scammer.

Is there any kind of legal action that I can take? I mean could I press charges against the guy? I have all of his information: name, address, house phone number, everything.

Anyone have any experience or ever heard anything about this kind of thing? Any helpful input would be greatly appreciated.

Sue the bad guy in small claims court. Don't expect any help from Paypal or Blizzard, the sale or transfer of WOW accounts is a violation of the TOS.

Curious how this turned out for you? Im in a similair situation but me being the seller. The person got the information and now claims he did not. He is scamming me as well but paypal took his side.

Matt478,

If you really have this guy's information, why haven't you contacted his local police department and filed a fraud complaint against him?

Once you done that, you can get a copy of the police report and fax it to PayPal as proof the guy scammed you. Duh.

By the way, why didn't you check this seller out BEFORE you gave him your money?????
