Being Forced to Forclose on a mortgage

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL
Is it possible that I could foreclose on a mortgage in Florida without a attorney as it is quite expensive?

Thanks for reply

I hold the note and I am just a layperson. They have not paid a dime since April and are not responding to me at all. I found out is very expensive to foreclose and I am seeking less expensive alternatives. I am living paycheck to paycheck myself.

I am open to any helpful suggestions to get out of this mess.

Help please

Does anyone know if I can represent myself or do I have to use a real estate attorney. My understanding is it would cost up to 5K to get this done. Anyone?

If it is held by you as an individual, then you can represent yourself. You will be held to the standards required of an attorney though due to the court it will be presented in. Sometimes that money spent on an attorney actually is money well spent.
